As Bank Dana Nusantara moved into its newly constructed headquarters, it envisioned more than a modern office building. The bank wanted an intelligent workplace that could simplify operations, strengthen security, and create a smoother experience for employees and visitors alike. Here's how Hikvision's integrated smart building solution helped bring that vision to life.
As one of Indonesia's leading digital wallet and payment platforms, Bank Dana Nusantara required a building that reflected its digital-first vision. The new eight-story headquarters accommodates around 100 employees and welcomes approximately 200 vehicles each day. Instead of deploying separate systems for different applications, the bank wanted an integrated platform that could help security and facility teams respond quickly to incidents while making daily operations more efficient.
Working with system integrator Focus Central Securindo, the bank deployed Hikvision's smart building solution, integrating vehicle and people access, video security, alarm system, radar, audio, displays, networking, and centralized management into a single intelligent ecosystem.
The journey begins at the building entrances. ANPR Cameras (DS-TMC403-E/3106) work with Barrier Gates (DS-TMG520) to automate vehicle access across the four entrances and exits. The cameras read license plates accurately day and night, while the barrier gates operate smoothly and include multiple anti-collision protections for vehicles and pedestrians.
Different users get access tailored to their needs. Staff vehicles are automatically recognized by their license plate registration in HikCentral Professional. VIPs move through even faster with long-range UHF identification. Visitors simply collect a ticket from the Entrance Ticket Stations (DS-TMT201-D) and scan it at the Exit Ticket Stations (DS-TMT202-D) when leaving.
Inside the building, access remains equally seamless. Swing Barriers (DS-K3G501X) with Face Recognition Modules (DS-K5671-ZH) verify identities in seconds before granting access to the elevator lobby. This keeps foot traffic moving during busy hours, while automatically unlocking during emergencies.
Offices, meeting rooms, and the data center are secured by Pro Series Face Recognition Terminals (DS-K1T642MFW) which admit only authorized personnel. They also serve as attendance devices, allowing staff to check in and out without additional equipment. An Ultra Face Recognition Terminal (DS-K1T671TMW) at the mustering point supports emergency headcounts. Elevator Controllers (DS-K2210, DS-K2M0016A) round things out, restricting each employee to the floors their access level allows.
Together, these systems deliver stronger security and a noticeably faster, more convenient experience for employees and visitors alike.
Security extends well beyond access control. An AX Hybrid PRO (DS-PHA48-EP) serves as the building's centralized alarm platform, connecting intrusion detection devices and alerting the command center the moment something unusual happens.
Outside business hours, Wired PIR Ceiling Detectors (DS-PDCL12-EG2) protect the main lobby, cashier areas, and safety deposit box facilities. At cashier stations, meanwhile, Panic Buttons (DS-PD1-EB) allow staff to discreetly call for help instantly should it be needed.
Since privacy rules keep cameras out of the safety deposit box storage area, the bank deployed Fall-Detection Radars (DS-TDSB00-EKT/POE/4M) to help protect customers who may lose balance while reaching upper compartments by ladder. Should a fall occurs, security responds immediately, without a single camera in the room.
Video coverage handles everything else. ColorVu Fixed Bullet Cameras (DS-2CD3047G2E-LUF) capture vivid, full-color footage around the clock, even in low light. Thermal & Optical Bi-Spectrum Cameras (DS-2TD1228-2/QA) monitor electrical panels and battery storage rooms, catching abnormal temperature changes before they become fire hazards. A TandemVu Camera (DS-2SF8C442MXG1-ELW/26(F0)(O-STD)) on the rooftop combines panoramic monitoring with powerful zoom, so operators keep the big picture while still capturing fine detail. All footage is stored on Hikvision NVRs (iDS-9632NXI-M16/X, DS-96256NIH24R) for reliable, fast retrieval whenever it's needed.
The deployment also improves communication and collaboration across the building. 70 Analog Ceiling Speakers (DS-QAE0203G1-V) deliver routine announcements and emergency broadcasts, while a 98-inch 4K Interactive Display (DS-D5C98RB/B) provides an engaging space for meetings, presentations, and video conferencing.
Behind the scenes, Smart PoE Switches (DS-3E1518P-SI, DS-3E1510P-SI) provide the network foundation for the entire solution. Besides supplying power and connectivity to devices, they give IT teams greater visibility into network status, helping simplify maintenance and troubleshooting.
At the center of the deployment is HikCentral Professional which brings together video, access control, parking, alarms, and device health monitoring on a single platform. From one dashboard, operators can respond to alarms, manage vehicle access, generate maintenance reports, and quickly identify system issues, making day-to-day operations far more efficient.
Building on this unified platform, the bank also benefits from AcuSeek, Hikvision's AI-powered search technology driven by Guanlan large-scale AI models. Instead of manually reviewing hours of recordings, operators can simply enter text queries, such as a vehicle’s color or brand, to quickly locate the target vehicle. This text-based search significantly shortens investigation time while improving operational efficiency.
The real impact isn't the number of connected devices. It's how much smoother the building runs every day. Since deploying Hikvision's integrated AIoT (AI-powered Internet of Things) technologies, Bank Dana Nusantara has achieved measurable improvements across security, operations, and maintenance:
